Black Med Connect is operated by iDream Enterprise LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“B-MED”).
B-MED’s mission is to connect historically underrepresented pre-health and health professional students, residents, fellows, and physicians, across the academic and healthcare pipeline to build social networks, locate professional development resources, and increase workforce representation. B-MED strives to create an online platform where users feel safe and comfortable while using our website (“Site”) (as defined in our Terms of Use) or the mobile app for B-MED (“App”) or attending our events (“Events”). This content policy outlines the rules our users must adhere to when participating in our online, app-based, or in-person community and otherwise using our Site, the App, or attending our Events. B-MED has a zero-tolerance policy for hateful speech or conduct of any kind. We always reserve the right to restrict access or terminate an account.
The information contained in the content, which includes, but is not limited to, text, graphics, images, multimedia, and information (“Content”) posted on the Site or in the App represents the views and opinions of the original creators of such Content and does not necessarily represent the views or opinions of B-MED. The mere appearance of Content on the Site or in the App or at Events does not constitute an endorsement by B-MED or its affiliates of such Content.

We may monitor users’ shared content and activities on our Site or our App or at our Events. We may remove or edit inappropriate content or activity identified by or reported to us. We may separately suspend, disable, or terminate a user’s access to all or part of the Site or App or Events. We may report inappropriate content or activity to your school, your employer, and/or legal authorities.
Inappropriate behavior, posts, or messages on the Site or the App can be reported by sending an email to support@bmedconnect.com or by clicking the “Report” function from inside the App. All reports are reviewed promptly, and action is taken as needed.
You are prohibited from using our Site or App to post, publish, communicate, or transmit any text, graphics, video, audio or other content that:
- (i) is false or misleading; (ii) is defamatory; (iii) invades another’s privacy; (iv) is obscene, pornographic, or offensive; (v) promotes or exhibits bigotry, discrimination, racism, hatred or harm against any individual or group; (vi) infringes another’s rights, including any intellectual property rights; (vii) violates, or encourages any conduct that would violate, any applicable law or regulation or would give rise to civil liability, or (viii) is in violation of B-MED’s Terms of Use;
- Contains illegal content or promotes illegal activities with the intent to commit such activities;
- Discloses any protected health information (PHI) about any patient or any other person, including but not limited to names, addresses or contact details’ medical records, diagnoses, and treatment information; or any other information that could identify an individual;
- Contains credible threats or organizes acts of real-world violence. We do not allow content that creates the appearance of a risk of physical injury or property damage, creates the appearance of a threat to people or public safety, or organizes or encourages harm;
- Harasses others. Abusive or otherwise inappropriate content directed at private individuals is not permitted under any circumstances;
- Violates intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. Do not share content that you do not have the right to share, claim content that you did not create as your own, or otherwise infringe or misappropriate someone else’s intellectual property or other rights. Always attribute materials used or quoted by you to the original copyright owner;
- Spams others. Do not share irrelevant or inappropriate advertising, promotional, or solicitation content;
- Otherwise violates the B-MED’s Terms of Use.
B-MED’s services are intended to be a safe space for users and participants where they can relax and be able to fully express themselves, without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unsafe on account of biological sex, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, cultural background, religious affiliation, age, or physical or mental ability. Any conduct that appears to undermine this safe space is prohibited. B-MED has the right to suspend or revoke your use of the Site and/or the App if you engage in such conduct. Irrespective of these terms, we always reserve the right to terminate an account and prevent access to our services, even if the content is not in violation of this policy.
Please note that specific Content (as defined in our Terms of Use) may have additional rules and requirements.
You also are not allowed to:
- Conduct data mining on, apply machine learning tools or models to, or train machine learning tools or models or any other artificial intelligence technology on, on the Site or Content or App;
- Use artificial intelligence tools or models for the purposes of generating text, images or any other material, output or derivative works based on or using Content or our Site or the App, whether or not in the same or similar style as the Content;
- Do anything that violates local, state, national, or international law or breaches any of your contractual obligations or fiduciary duties;
- Share your password, let anyone besides yourself access your account, or do anything that might put your account at risk;
- Attempt to access any other user’s account;
- Reproduce, transfer, sell, resell, or otherwise misuse any Content from our Site or the App, unless specifically authorized to do so;
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of our systems, unless specifically authorized to do so;
- Break or circumvent our authentication or security measures or otherwise test the vulnerability of our systems or networks, unless specifically authorized to do so;
- Try to reverse engineer any portion of our Site or the App;
- Try to interfere with any user, host, or network, for example by sending a virus, overloading, spamming, or mail-bombing;
- Use our Site or the App to distribute malware;
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; or
- Encourage or help anyone do any of the things on this list.
